Teva, Sandoz Infringed Allergan's Lumigan Patents: Judge

Law360, New York (September 8, 2011, 5:37 PM EDT) -- A Delaware federal judge ruled Thursday that a Teva Pharmaceuticals USA Inc. unit and Sandoz Inc. had infringed two of Allergan Inc.'s patents in trying to create a generic version of the glaucoma treatment Lumigan.

U.S. District Judge Sue L. Robinson also ruled Allergan's patents were valid, saying the defendants had failed to prove otherwise and noting that the credibility of the defendants' expert witness, Dr. Ashim K. Mitra, “was eviscerated on cross-examination.”
