Law360, New York (September 08, 2011, 7:42 PM ET) -- Facebook Inc. told Germany's interior minister Thursday that it would support a voluntary code of conduct regarding data protection for social networks, an agreement that touched off a turf war between the minister and a state privacy regulator.
German Interior Minister Hans-Peter Friedrich said that he had met with Facebook's director of European public policy, Richard Allan, and that Allan had endorsed Friedrich's plans to create a voluntary privacy code for social networking sites.
