Law360, New York (September 09, 2011, 5:18 PM ET) -- Three U.S. House of Representatives Democrats pressed the Federal Trade Commission on Friday to take a close look at Express Scripts Inc.'s proposed $29 billion acquisition of rival Medco Health Solutions Inc., citing concerns about the combination's effects on prescription drug costs.
Reps. Henry A. Waxman, D-Calif.; Frank Pallone Jr., D-N.J.; and Diana DeGette, D-Colo., wrote to FTC Chairman Jon Leibowitz, calling for an in-depth analysis of the deal and its potential implications for consumers with private insurance and government health care plans alike.
