McGraw-Hill To Split Into Capital Markets, Education Cos.

Law360, New York (September 12, 2011, 1:13 PM ET) -- The McGraw-Hill Cos. Inc. announced Monday that it would split into two public companies, one focusing on capital and commodities markets and the other on education services and digital learning.

According to the company, the split into McGraw-Hill Markets and McGraw-Hill Education will enable the companies to streamline operations and reduce costs. The company also said it would increase share repurchases to $1 billion this year.
