Development Co. Sues Over Hudson Property Cleanup

Law360, New York (September 12, 2011, 5:08 PM ET) -- A New York development company filed suit Friday against the former owners of a contaminated plot of land on the Hudson River, seeking more than $4 million on claims that they breached contracts to remediate the site.

One Point Street Inc., the current owner of the Yonkers, N.Y., property, alleged in federal court that Freeport-McMoran Corp., BICC Cables Corp. and Blackacre Partners OPS Inc. — the company in charge of the remediation — let cleanup of the site fall more than a year behind schedule....
