NY Times, Dow Jones, Others Targeted In Web Patent Suit

Law360, New York (September 13, 2011, 2:05 PM ET) -- Bloomberg LP, The New York Times Co. and Dow Jones & Co. Inc. were among the media heavyweights tagged with a lawsuit in Delaware federal court Monday by Boadin Technology LLC, which claims the defendants infringed two “instantaneous symbol lookup” patents through their websites.

Newark, Del.-based Boadin asked the court to award unspecified damages and named a total of seven defendants, including Gannett Co. Inc., CNBC LLC, Fox News Network LLC and MarketWatch Inc.
