Investors Seek To Keep E&Y, KPMG In Madoff Suit

Law360, New York (September 13, 2011, 7:24 PM ET) -- Victims of Bernard L. Madoff's billion-dollar Ponzi scheme sought Monday to keep auditors Ernst & Young and KPMG LLP on the hook for some of their losses, opting to appeal a lower court's decision to dismiss the firms from the securities class action.

The plaintiffs, who had investments with Madoff through Argus Group Holdings Ltd. and Tremont International Insurance Ltd., will ask the Second Circuit to overturn a decision handed down by U.S. District Judge Thomas P. Griesa that dismissed the auditing firms from the case,...
