Air Force Capt. Admits Obstructing NY Corruption Probe

Law360, New York (September 15, 2011, 5:05 PM EDT) -- Raymond Maguire, the former chief of staff of jailed ex-New York State Sen. Vincent Leibell, admitted Thursday that he obstructed a corruption probe into the construction of his ex-boss' 600,000-square-foot, $1.7 million home.

Maguire, a captain in the New York Air National Guard serving in the U.S. Air Force in Afghanistan, returned to the U.S. to enter a guilty plea before U.S. District Judge Cathy Seibel.
