EPA Adds 15 New Sites To Superfund List

Law360, New York (September 15, 2011, 6:59 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced Thursday that it had added 15 new properties to its list of Superfund sites, spread across the country from Oregon to North Carolina.

In addition, the EPA proposed that another 11 sites be added to the National Priorities List, which includes what the agency calls the most complex, uncontrolled or abandoned hazardous waste sites in the country.

A total of 1,302 sites are currently listed on the NPL, created as part of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act...
