Microsoft, 10 Others Hit With Data Transmission IP Suit

Law360, New York (September 19, 2011, 1:46 PM EDT) -- Microsoft Corp., Google Inc., Nokia Corp. and a host of other technology companies were hit with a suit in Texas federal court on Thursday, with SimpleAir Inc. accusing them of infringing its patents for network messaging and data transmission.

In the latest action brought by Texas-based SimpleAir, the company claims 11 companies infringed U.S. Patent Numbers 6,021,433 and 7,035,914, both entitled “System and Method for Transmission of Data.”
