Ex-Duane Reade CEO Appeals 3-Year Prison Term

Law360, New York (September 19, 2011, 3:41 PM EDT) -- Former Duane Reade CEO Anthony Cuti, who was sentenced to three years in prison and ordered to pay $5 million for allegedly scheming to inflate the pharmacy retailer's reported earnings before a private equity firm bought it, appealed his sentence Friday.

The notice of appeal was filed in New York federal court by Cuti's attorney, Bradley D. Simon of Simon & Partners LLP.
