Sports Authority Co-Managers Strike Deal In OT Action

Law360, New York (September 20, 2011, 2:50 PM EDT) -- A class of retail co-managers who allege that The Sports Authority Inc. misclassified them as exempt from overtime pay asked a New York federal judge on Monday to sign off on a $990,000 deal that resolves their claims.

The plaintiffs asked the court to grant final approval to the settlement, which disposes of the settlement class' claims that the retail chain denied its co-managers overtime pay in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act and state labor laws.
