Apotex To Appeal Court's Plavix Patent Ruling

Law360, New York (June 19, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Generic drug maker Apotex Inc. has vowed to appeal a judge's ruling Tuesday that the patent on Bristol-Myers Squibb Co.'s blockbuster blood thinner Plavix is valid and enforceable.

Apotex, which has been banned from selling its copycat version of the best-selling drug after releasing the product for 22 days last year, said in a statement it would immediately appeal the decision to the Federal Circuit.
