Law360, New York (September 21, 2011, 5:14 PM ET) -- American Torch Tip Co. and Dykema Gossett PLLC on Wednesday settled a multimillion-dollar legal malpractice suit in Florida that accused the firm of botching the company's defense in a patent infringement suit.
U.S. District Court Judge Steven D. Merryday signed off on the settlement, resolving American Torch's claims that Dykema and its intellectual property group leader Allan J. Sternstein botched its defense in a patent infringement suit brought by Hypertherm Inc. Both parties told the court Monday that they had reached a settlement on Sept. 13....
