Kirkland Reps Vista In Thomson Reuters Risk Unit Buy

Law360, New York (September 23, 2011, 2:26 PM ET) -- Software and tech-focused private equity firm Vista Equity Partners said Friday it had struck a deal to buy media and data giant Thomson Reuters' trade and risk management business, said to be worth about $500 million, for an undisclosed sum.

The U.K.-based Thomson Reuters said in April that it planned to sell off the profitable risk business, known as Kondor, which operates separately from its core high-speed trading business, called Electron.
