Ex-Army Sgts., Contractor Charged Over Afghan SUV Bribes

Law360, New York (September 23, 2011, 3:02 PM ET) -- An Illinois federal court on Thursday unveiled charges against a man accused of bribing two U.S. Army officers into awarding his security firm a contract to provide armored SUVs that were never delivered to an Afghani official facing death threats from insurgents.

A nine-count indictment against Raul Borcuta and his alleged Army co-conspirators, Zachery Taylor and Jared Close, was unsealed the same day authorities arrested 32-year-old Borcuta at Miami International Airport upon his arrival from Europe.
