Construction Co. Seeks Coverage In Shoddy Jail Work Suit

Law360, New York (September 26, 2011, 3:49 PM EDT) -- R.M. Shoemaker Co. on Thursday claimed in Pennsylvania federal court that its subcontractors’ insurers were obligated to cover it in litigation over allegedly shoddy work on a $37 million construction contract at a New Jersey county jail.

Shoemaker filed a third-party complaint in coverage litigation brought by its own insurers, alleging ARI Mutual Insurance Co., CNA Insurance Co., ACE USA and OneBeacon Insurance Co. had a duty to defend and indemnify it against property damage claims.
