Morgan Lewis Reps Reed Elsevier In £343M Accuity Buy

Law360, Wilmington (September 26, 2011, 3:08 PM EDT) -- Reed Elsevier PLC announced Monday it had agreed to purchase banking data provider Accuity Holdings Inc. for £343 million ($532 million) in a bid to improve the European publishing giant’s offerings in the financial services sector.

The all-cash deal with Accuity’s current owner — Bahrain-based investment manager Investcorp — is expected to close in the fourth quarter and be accretive to Reed Elsevier’s earnings immediately, the buyer said in a statement.
