Law360, New York (September 26, 2011, 7:08 PM ET) -- Boston Scientific Corp. subsidiary Guidant Corp. on Monday reached a $9.25 million settlement in Tennessee over allegations brought by the U.S. and a former sales agent that it inflated prices for replacement pacemakers and defibrillators it sold under federal health care programs.
The government had claimed that Guidant raised the prices of the devices by failing to grant warranty credits and rebates to hospitals for pacemakers and defibrillators that were explanted while covered under a product warranty. The deal ends the government’s claims that Guidant misrepresented...
