Dodgers Fight MLB Control, Request More Time

Law360, New York (September 27, 2011, 7:45 PM EDT) -- The Los Angeles Dodgers fired back Tuesday against Major League Baseball's attempt to seize control of its bankruptcy, asking a Delaware judge to postpone a hearing while it investigates the league's claims that cash-strapped owner Frank McCourt is improperly calling the shots.

The Dodgers requested more time to answer MLB's “heavy-handed response” to a planned auction of broadcast rights, a move the team says will allow it to emerge from bankruptcy.
