Brockmeyer Named To Lead SEC's FCPA Unit

Law360, New York (September 27, 2011, 8:12 PM EDT) -- The head of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's Enforcement Division said Tuesday that Kara Novaco Brockmeyer would lead the agency's Foreign Corrupt Practices Act unit after the unit's first-ever chief announced in June that she was going into private practice.

"Kara's creativity and perseverance is reflected in her outstanding efforts and results over the years in fulfilling the commission's mission of investor protection," said Robert Khuzami, director of the SEC’s Enforcement Division, in a statement.
