Tyson Recalls Ground Beef Over E. Coli Test

Law360, New York (September 28, 2011, 1:04 PM EDT) -- Tyson Foods Inc. announced Tuesday that it was voluntarily recalling 131,300 pounds of ground beef sold by Kroger Co. and other retailers after an Ohio agency found E. coli in a sample of the product.

The Ohio Department of Health tested the beef for the bacteria when residents of Butler County, Ohio, became ill after eating the meat, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service.
