Jury Deadlocked In Cargo Exec's Price-Fixing Case

Law360, New York (September 29, 2011, 7:10 PM EDT) -- A Florida federal jury failed Thursday to reach a verdict in the criminal trial of an air cargo executive accused of conspiring to hike fuel prices in the wake of hurricanes Rita and Katrina in 2005.

George Gonzalez, the former chief commercial officer of the Peruvian air cargo carrier Cielos Airlines, was the last remaining defendant in the case after one co-defendant was dismissed and two others pled guilty on the eve of trial.
