LHC Group To Fork Over $65M In Medicare Billing Suit

Law360, New York (September 30, 2011, 1:10 PM EDT) -- Home and hospice care provider LHC Group Inc. said Friday that it would pay $65 million and enter a corporate integrity agreement with the U.S. government to settle a lawsuit in Louisiana federal court over improper Medicare reimbursements.

LHC Group was one of several companies targeted in the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's probe into the Medicare reimbursement practices of major players in the for-profit home health care industry in 2010.
