Law360, Los Angeles (September 30, 2011, 8:07 PM ET) -- A Texas federal judge on Friday ruled that Bedrock Computer Technologies LLC won't have to pick up Yahoo Inc.'s legal fees following the Web giant's win in an infringement lawsuit over a patent covering Linux data storage, saying the patent-holding company's complaint wasn't baseless.
U.S. District Judge Leonard Davis also refused to declare the patent-in-suit invalid as a matter of law, because Yahoo was unable to show by a preponderance of evidence that the claims in U.S. Patent 5,893,120 were rendered obvious by prior art....
