Law360, New York (October 04, 2011, 5:49 PM ET) -- A woman lodged a class action against Qualitest Products Inc. in Georgia court on Friday claiming she became pregnant because the drugmaker's birth control pills were mispackaged, weeks after Qualitest announced a voluntary nationwide recall due to the error.
Lauren Betancourt had been taking Qualitest's Gildess FE 1/20 oral contraceptive for about four months, according to her attorneys Steven Beard and Keith Bodoh. Betancourt discovered she was pregnant within the last few weeks, they said.
