Law360, New York (October 05, 2011, 6:35 PM ET) -- Hitachi Data Systems Corp. announced Wednesday it would acquire data technology company Shoden Data Systems, seeking to tap a booming data storage market in South Africa.
The Hitachi Ltd. subsidiary did not reveal financial terms of the deal, which is still subject to regulatory approval. The companies are no stranger to one another, however, having established a partnership that has spanned 11 years and enabled Johannesburg-based Shoden to establish itself in the South African data storage market, the buyer said.
