Calling Card Co. Alleges Dirty Tactics During Discovery

Law360, New York (June 22, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A patent infringement case involving prepaid calling cards has taken a bizarre turn, with one of the defendants allegedly trying to slip in a new defense on the last day of discovery.

In court documents filed Thursday with the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, TGIP Inc. accused Interactive Communications International Inc. and two of its units of not showing “good cause” to amend their answers to the complaint.
