Oracle V. Google Patent Trial's Start Date In Limbo

Law360, New York (October 5, 2011, 6:30 PM EDT) -- A high profile patent trial between Google Inc. and Oracle Corp. over Android smartphone technology that was set to kick off on Halloween will likely be delayed for an undetermined amount of time, a California federal judge said Wednesday.

U.S. District Judge William H. Alsup said in a court filing that the patent trial “seems unlikely” to go forward as scheduled due to an unrelated trial for a large criminal case.
