Envelope Maker Still Seeking To Put Own Stamp On Ch. 11

Law360, New York (October 7, 2011, 8:40 PM EDT) -- Bankrupt envelope manufacturer NEC Holdings Corp. made its fifth and final bid Oct. 4 to extend its exclusivity period for filing a Chapter 11 plan of liquidation in Delaware, citing troubles selling off a contaminated New Jersey plant and pending cleanup litigation.

NEC, which filed for bankruptcy protection in June 2010, asked U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Peter J. Walsh to give its officers until Dec. 10 to come up with a liquidation plan on their own as the company rapidly approaches an 18-month filing exclusivity deadline....
