GAO Advises Agencies On Upping Contractor Suspensions

Law360, New York (October 7, 2011, 8:27 PM EDT) -- In a Thursday report and testimony to Congress, the U.S. Government Accountability Office followed up on recent reports of wasteful contract spending by giving practical advice to agencies that could help increase federal use of suspension and debarment proceedings.

The GAO looked at the suspension and debarment processes at 10 agencies to learn why some agencies can pursue the process more vigorously than others.
