Bellwether Case In Toyota Defect MDL Heads To Trial

Law360, New York (October 11, 2011, 11:37 PM ET) -- The plaintiffs in multidistrict litigation over alleged sudden accelerations in Toyota Motor Corp. cars on Tuesday reportedly refiled the first bellwether case that had been thrown out last month.

The suit, filed by family members of two Utah residents killed in a crash allegedly caused by a Toyota Camry's unexpected acceleration, will mark the first to go to trial in the MDL in February 2013, the plaintiffs' attorney Mark Robinson told the Associated Press on Tuesday.
