Frontier Accused Of Stacking Bogus Fees On Internet Bills

Law360, New York (October 12, 2011, 5:27 PM ET) -- A putative class of Frontier Communications Corp. customers sued the telecommunications provider Tuesday in Minnesota federal court, claiming they were improperly charged taxes and fees on their high-speed Internet service bills.

Four named plaintiffs — three from Minnesota and one from New York — claim Frontier breached its contract with customers and violated federal laws prohibiting state and local taxes on Internet service.
