GCs Urge Securities Attys To Focus On Clients Amid Slump

Law360, New York (October 12, 2011, 4:38 PM EDT) -- With Wall Street still reeling from the recession and corporate spending on securities matters expected to drop in 2012, securities firms should develop client relationships and hold off on looking for big deals until the economy gets moving again, a new report on corporate legal spending says.

Corporate counsel spending for securities matters will dip slightly in 2012, with few significant gains to be made until the market recovers, according to the Premium Practices Forecast 2012 report from The BTI Consulting Group (Wellesley, Mass.).
