ConAgra GMO False Marketing Actions Joined In Calif.

Law360, New York (October 13, 2011, 3:38 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation on Thursday consolidated in California six proposed class actions against ConAgra Foods Inc. accusing it of misleadingly labeling cooking oils as 100 percent natural when they were made from genetically modified plants and grains.

The JPML ruled that an action pending in New Jersey should join five similar actions in California. The cases will be heard by U.S. District Judge Margaret M. Morrow.
