Verizon Must Post $145M Bond During ActiveVideo Appeal

Law360, New York (October 24, 2011, 6:32 PM EDT) -- A Virginia federal judge ordered Verizon Communications Inc. on Monday to post a $145 million bond, despite its argument that it will have no problem paying if it doesn't succeed in overturning a jury's verdict that it infringed ActiveVideo Networks Inc.'s on-demand video patents.
