Broke Anderson Wants 2nd Circ. To Revive Antitrust Suit

Law360, New York (October 19, 2011, 7:13 PM EDT) -- Defunct magazine wholesaler Anderson News LLC on Wednesday asked the Second Circuit to revive an antitrust suit claiming magazine publishers including Time Inc. drove it into bankruptcy by uniformly balking at a proposed price increase.

Anderson, once the second-leading magazine wholesaler, closed its doors in February 2009 shortly after most of the publishing industry refused to accept a proposed 7 cent per issue surcharge meant to defray Anderson's distribution costs.
