Law360, New York (October 17, 2011, 12:58 PM ET) -- AmeriGas Partners LP on Monday added the propane and propane products units of Energy Transfer Partners LP in a deal valued at approximately $2.9 billion.
As part of the deal, AmeriGas Partners subsidiary AmeriGas Propane Inc. will take on Energy Transfer units Heritage Operating LP and Titan Energy Partners LP in exchange for $1.5 billion in cash and around $1.3 billion in AmeriGas common units. AmeriGas also agreed to take on around $71 million in Energy Partners debt.
