Yamaha Rhino MDL Winds Down In Settlements

Law360, New York (October 17, 2011, 7:18 PM ET) -- Most of the 271 cases in a multidistrict litigation over alleged design defects in Yamaha Motor Corp.'s Rhino 660 off-road vehicle have settled, with 10 new agreements approved between Friday and Monday as the Kentucky federal judge prepares to close out and remand the remaining proceedings. 

About 50 suits remained in the MDL as of late September, according to an attorney for Yamaha, and 18 settlements have been approved by a Kentucky federal court in the past week, according to the docket. The settlement terms were...
