Alleged Hacker Pleads Not Guilty In Sony Data Breach Case

Law360, New York (October 17, 2011, 7:32 PM EDT) -- A suspected member of hacking collective LulzSec pled not guilty Monday to allegedly helping the group attack the computer systems of Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc. and steal confidential information.

Cody Kretsinger, a 23-year-old from Tempe, Ariz., pled not guilty in California federal court to charges of unauthorized impairment of a protected computer and conspiracy, according to Thom Mrozek, a spokesman for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Central District of California. His trial is set to begin Dec. 13.
