FTC Clears $265M Bid For Bankrupt Dallas Stars

Law360, New York (October 18, 2011, 4:56 PM EDT) -- The Federal Trade Commission on Monday cleared Canadian businessman Tom Gaglardi's $265 million bid for the National Hockey League's Dallas Stars LP, paving the way for the bankrupt team to be sold at auction in Delaware.

The agency granted early termination to its antitrust review of the proposal about one month after U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Peter J. Walsh gave his blessing to Gaglardi's bid and the team's auction plans.
