He is the founder of Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, D.C., and the Society to Prevent Trade in Stolen Art, and a founding member of the D.C. Bar's computer law forum and sport, art, and entertainment section. He was a board member of the D.C. chapter of the Copyright Society and is general counsel to the Art Copyright Coalition.
