Convicted Con Ed Workers Told To Repay Bribes

Law360, Los Angeles (October 18, 2011, 6:39 PM ET) -- A New York federal judge on Thursday ordered seven former Consolidated Edison Co. of New York Inc. employees convicted of multiple kickback schemes to pay the utility nearly $700,000 in restitution.

According to federal prosecutors, the defendants extorted over $1 million in bribes from a contractor in exchange for signing off on work that was unnecessary or could have been done by another company.
