National Century Defendants Seek To Seal Finances

Law360, New York (June 26, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- JPMorgan Chase & Co., Bank One NA and other defendants in the massive multidistrict litigation related to the collapse of National Century Financial Enterprises Inc. filed motions on Monday seeking to keep financial information obtained during bankruptcy proceedings from becoming public.

JPMorgan, Bank One and their affiliates sought a protective order this week to treat documents as confidential which were obtained by the Unencumbered Assets Trust under Bankruptcy Rule 2004. The JPMorgan defendants want to keep certain documents confidential between the parties in the MDL cases....
