Sony Gets Patent Holder's Video Tech Suit Booted

Law360, New York (October 18, 2011, 7:36 PM ET) -- A federal judge handed Sony Electronics Inc. a victory Friday over Trans Video Electronics Ltd. in an ongoing patent tussle over video distribution technology allegedly used in Sony's PlayStation Network, finding the only asserted claim of the Trans Video patent in the case was invalid.
