Sun Healthcare Didn't Pay Nursing Home Workers OT: Suit

Law360, New York (October 21, 2011, 5:39 PM EDT) -- A former cook hit Sun Healthcare Group Inc. and its subsidiary SunBridge Healthcare with a proposed class action in California on Wednesday, claiming the companies failed to pay overtime or provide meal breaks to workers at several nursing homes.

Ex-employee Luis Santimateo claims the actions of the health services giant — which employs more than 30,000 people in 46 states — violated several provisions of California's Labor Code, and that it breached state law by intentionally misreporting the hours its employees worked.
