Israeli Solar Tech Co. Lands $37M From US Investors

Law360, New York (October 24, 2011, 12:51 PM EDT) -- SolarEdge, an Israeli solar technology company, has raised $37 million from a consortium of U.S.-based investors led by Silicon Valley firm Norwest Venture Partners to expand its global business, the company announced Monday.

Previous investors GE Capital, Opus Capital, Walden International, Lightspeed Venture Partners and Israeli funds Genesis Partners and Vertex Venture Capital also increased their investments in the company, which claims its technology can boost solar panel outputs by 25 percent.
