LeClairRyan Booted From Ford Enviro Cases

Law360, New York (October 25, 2011, 6:47 PM ET) -- A New Jersey federal judge on Tuesday disqualified LeClairRyan from representing Ford Motor Co. in two environmental suits over contaminated concrete, finding that LeClairRyan attorney James Kosch was improperly “side-switching.”

U.S. District Judge Esther Salas found that Kosch should be disqualified because he had represented developer WWM Properties Inc. — one of several property owners suing Ford for environmental cleanup costs. The property owners built seven properties using contaminated concrete recycled from a decommissioned Ford plant in Edison, N.J.
