ITC Expands HP Printer Cartridge Patent Win

Law360, New York (October 26, 2011, 1:23 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission on Monday upheld a ruling that Taiwan-based manufacturers and importers of ink-jet print cartridges infringed Hewlett-Packard Co. patents, and broadened the ruling to hold that Asia Pacific Microsystems Inc. induced infringement.

The ITC also said Monday that a general exclusion order barring infringing cartridges from entering the U.S. would be the appropriate remedy for the infringement.
