Sikorsky Settles With 7 Victims Of 2009 Chopper Crash

Law360, New York (October 27, 2011, 7:02 PM ET) -- Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. has settled claims with seven of the victims of a 2009 helicopter crash in Louisiana in which eight people were killed and one severely injured, one of the plaintiffs' attorneys said Thursday.

The helicopter manufacturer has settled with the sole survivor and the families of six of those killed, all of whom had sued in Louisiana federal court, said the attorney, Paul M. Sterbcow of Lewis Kullman Sterbcow & Abramson. Sterbcow represents Steven Yelton, the survivor, who suffered severe brain injuries.
